I charge by the image, not by the look. The reality is that we don’t know what our favorite looks will be until they are taken. Through this approach, clients are able to test different clothing and/or lighting combinations without being charged extra. This also provides me the incentive to create the best images possible for every shoot. We’re not going through the motions here. Every shoot is a unique opportunity and learning experience for the client to see what looks best on them. Clients are not obligated to buy an image unless they love it.

what is included in a headshot session?
A pre-shoot consultation. This is either a phone call or a series of phone calls to discuss our vision for the shoot. I learn about you to best lay a foundation of how the images will look. I don’t go into any shoots with preconceived notions of how the pictures should be; I take the time to learn about your specific need. Typically we will discuss questions about makeup, hair, and clothing to bring.
Guidance on how to pose. “I’m not a model, and I have no idea what I’m doing.” You can get those thoughts out of your head right now. I will position you and guide you to take the perfect pictures. This is an art, and most people will improve their look in front of the camera drastically with a few positioning changes and high-quality, professional camera lenses that best capture their appearance. The equipment that I choose will radically affect the look of the images that we will take. Let me be the professional that handles those decisions to create the best pictures for you.
A professional studio or travel to your home, office, or a specific location that fits your needs.
On-location image review for shoots in studio. We can review the images to be confident that we’re satisfied with the results.
Professional retouching. This is NOT facetune. I manually adjust the luminosity of tiny patches of skin to smooth out inconsistencies in the skin while keeping texture sharp and prominent. I can use contouring to emphasize or de-emphasize certain areas. Stray hairs will go within reason. Facial features can be liquefied on request (example: one eye may appear more prominent than the other).
